The simple white-on-white design of this digital platform scale from Health-o-meter makes it a fresh, clean note in any bathroom décor. Constructed from durable steel, the 300-pound capacity scale features a smart foot mat with horizontal ribs that wipe off easily and keep you from slipping. Conveniently sized, the LED display provides a large, easy-to-read digital weight measurement and alerts you when the 9-volt battery’s low. With raised bumpers to protect your floor, the unit stands just 2-1/2 inches off the floor, for a nonbulky profile. Though it measures a compact 10-1/4 by 10 inches, the scale’s efficient display design still leaves ample room for standing. If you want a nice accurate scale keep looking. This model is lousy at telling you what you weigh. Nothing disappoints more than hopping on and discovering YAY you weigh a certain weight..then trying again a few minutes later and discover NO you actually weigh 5 pounds more!
I called the company and they told me you had to wait a few seconds between weighing in for the scale to recalibrate. So I did that, but it didnt make any difference. My weight has varied as much as 10 pounds on this scale.
On the plus side, its streamlined with a clear read out. But who cares if the read out is so off!
I bought this to try and track my weight, but the displayed weight on this scale will vary up to 10 lbs. within a few minutes. Generally I found the further back on the scale I stood the lighter I got. Also, it was very finicky about standing absolutely still.
