Nature Made Vitamin C, 1000 mg, Premium Tablets, Value Size, 300 premium tablets

Manufacturer’s Description
This Nature Made product provides vitamin C, a versatile and essential vitamin critical for the proper functioning of our immune system. In addition, vitamin C helps manufacture certain nerve-transmitting substances and hormones while helping absorb and utilize other nutrients, such as vitamin E and iron. Vitamin C also makes collagen, which holds connective tissues together in skin, bone, teeth, and other parts of the body. Vitamin C is an important and powerful antioxidant that works in the aqueous (water) environments of the body, such as the lungs and lens of the eye. Its primary antioxidant partners are vitamin E and the carotenes (such as beta-carotene), but it also works with the antioxidant enzymes. Vitamin C regenerates oxidized vitamin E and restores the antioxidant potential of vitamin E in the body. Vitamin C is recommended as part of a daily regimen for women’s and men’s health, longevity, heart strength, and immunity. No artifi … >>> Special Offers & Product Promotions

Since I cannot have citrus now, I needed a source of vitamin c and am quite satisfied with this brand. I have used it for a couple of years and whether or not it can be attributed to this vitamin, I only get one cold each year and even work with the public in retail. I will buy it again and continue to use it.

This product has been very helpful to me!!! I just feel bad that the vitamin is hard to swallow. I wish it was coated. I am not sure if Vit C is coated. I’ll try next time I buy it.

I have read that 80% of vitamins sold in the US are made in China. I guess from reading above Nature Made falls into this group. Clue? If it doesn’t say where it is made, you can be sure it is not made in the US. China has a bad record, Heparin, for example, in controlling quality in drugs. Why is the US citizen not afforded this information. It should be the law that this be on the label. Why isn’t it? Because people would not buy it, of course. We are sheep.
