Michaels, who gained recognition as a trainer on NBC’s The Biggest Loser, pushes to get you in “the best shape of your life.” Assuming you are already in fairly decent shape, if you have 20 or less pounds to shed and are willing to make the commitment, Michaels promises to have readers “feeling comfortable running in a bikini.” Determining body fat percentage and taking a “fit test” is par for the course in this sort of book. What separates Michaels’ program is that she bases the diet on whether a person is a “slow oxidizer, balanced oxidizer, or fast oxidizer.” The idea is that slow oxidizers require more carbs, while fast oxidizers need higher percentages of protein. Michaels provides three different sets of menus and recipes (she claims that there is sound science behind this, but don’t expect to see helpful footnotes quoting clinical studies). I am 19 and I am 5′5″ and I am going to start on april 1 2008, and I want to go from 237 lbs to 130-135 lbs by middle of July to the beginning of August 2008, can somebody help me with finding a weight loss plan that will help with that goal.

Will Coffee Intefere With My Weight Loss Plan?

I am on a weight loss plan to shed about 35 pounds this year. Will drinking a cup of coffee every day slow down my weight loss? I assume that it would be better to use low-fat and low-sugra sweeteners. Any ideas?

How Does This Weight Loss Plan Stack Up?

Ok so I want to lose weight, plain and simple. I’ve done the research and I know what to do so thus, I have come up with my own weight loss plan and would like some opinions on it. Here it is:
First off, I am an 18 year old male, about 5′8″ and roughly 190 lbs. I have lowered my daily calorie intake to roughly 1500 with a diet consisting mainly of salads, fruits, grilled chicken with small healthy snacks dispersed throughout the day. I would only drink water and green tea. So all in all, I would be eating every four or so hours (to keep the metabolism going).
I would also be working out every day for about an hour performing about 30 mins of eliptical aerobics and about 30 mins of a full body workout. (My goal here is to tone, not really body build.)
My only concern with my plan is the daily calorie intake. Is it too low? I figured that 1500 from food minus about 500 from working out would only give me a net of 1000, roughly. My goal is to get to 170 lbs, at least, in two months.

How Can I Get The Most Out Of A Fitness Plan That Involves Running, Beating Up A 100lb Bag, Lifting Weights?

I’ve been on a fitness plan for about 2 weeks now. I run a 10min mile, which i am trying to increase to 2 miles and get them under 8min, and walk with an incline for a while. I hit a 100lb bag for 3min and alternate with three weight lifting exercises. I bench press, do squats, crunches. I just feel like I’m not getting the most out of it all. I want to get big arms and lose the spare tire around my waist.

Can Anyone Give Me A 12 Week Fitness Plan?

I weigh 247 pounds. I am 5 feet 3 inches tall. I need to find a fitness plan-not a lose a hundred pounds now and kill your self plan. I am looking for a guide to follow as far as what to eat and so on. I have heard of those 12 week plans, but when looking on line, there are literally thousands! My plan is to use this entire upcoming year preparing to apply for police departments and I’m in less-than-stellar shape. If not an online resource, what are your recommendations to come up with a fitness plan?
